Steven Jackson finally ended his holdout, signing an extension for six years 44 mil. Good job Rams. The rams could surprise people.

I heard Steve Phillips on Espn saying Joba was the next Roger Clemens while a red sock. He's not. Joba, as he proved in todays start, does not have the command nor the intimidation of clemens. That is too lofty of a comparison.

Manny in La. A match made in heaven. This makes the Dodgers a threat in the National league and not just within the division. What a move by Ned Coletti. It's gonna be an exciting race in the nl west.

What a game for the Dodgers yesterday. A come from behind win, a tie for first, and a lot of clutch two out hitting. It's going to be an exciting race for the division.

P.S. I have a new theory on why the N.L. West leaders do not seem as strong as other division leaders. It's because their all so even so they beat up on each other.

My 2008 midseason MLB awards

N.L. MVP

If standings did not exist in the MLB, the race would be Lance Berkman and Chipper Jones. But that's obviously not the case. Chase Utley is the leader of a first place team. He is putting up power numbers that are the best for a second baseman since Rogers Hornsby. He is playing the important defensive position of second base where there are almost no power hitters. He plays hard. He deserves it now.

Others deserving in order: Chipper Jones, Lance Berkman, Dan Uggla, Hanley Ramirez, Albert Pujols.

He is the most ridiculous athlete in sports. Personality wise, I mean. Every year, he says "Hmmm..., I'm thinking about retiring but I still want to play. I know I can play but not mentally". Why would he even consider retiring if he is still a top five qb and still really wants to play the game. So he still retires, and then wants to play, and then asks for his release. He is being unfair to Aaron Rodgers and to Packers fans. The team has been preparing for a shift ever since he "retired". The packers should keep him on the team and make him ride the bench. Who cares if he complains? Make him retire for good.

Hiroki Kuroda gave up only one hit and had a perfect game through seven. The best pitched game I have ever seen in my young life. He looked better than John Lester when he pitched a no-no. He should start getting equal recognition to Dice k. The only reason he doesn't is because he is on the Dodgers and Dice K is on the Red Sox.

The all star game lineups are ridiculous this year. Even the players made a bunch of mistakes. Jason Varitek as an all star?! He's hitting .219. Kosuke Fukudome and Alfonso Soriano over Pat Burrell, Ryan Ludwick, Nate McClouth, and Carlos Lee. Geovany Soto over Russell Martin, Brian McCann and Bengie Molina.

Here is the real all star game lineup (Not including pitchers), starter in bold

A.L.

C- Joe Mauer, A.J. Pierzynski
